The Muslim month of Ramadan began at 6
PM on November 16. Each Muslim fasts from sunrise to sunset. Fasting is one of
the five pillars of the religion of Islam. Muslims fast as an act of
faith and worship
toward Allah
suppressing their desires and abstaining from earthly pleasures.
Fasting together as
a worldwide
community affirms the brotherhood and equality of man before Allah.
The name Ramadan is
an Arabic
word which means intense, scorching heat or dryness, especially toward the ground. Another
definition is "sun-baked sand." Another intent of Ramadan is to
scorch out the sins
with good
deeds. Ramadan releases religious zeal among Muslims of all ages.
Adults take this
opportunity to
double their rewards from God. This event is intended to bring a
closeness of community
with their
creator. Muslims follow the laws of Islam. The word Islam means
submission to God. The
revelation of
Islam was given to Mohammed, the praised one. The last ten days
of Ramadan are considered
highly blessed, especially the 27th night which is called the Night
of Power or Destiny. This is a very empowering time for those of Islamic faith. Please pray during this time. Ask God for your heart to be pure as you pray. Superstition controls many aspects of the Muslim's life. Therefore, much of their religion is based upon fear. Bind the spirit of fear that is controlling the individuals of this religion. Also, bind the spirit of fear that this religions releases. Pray that those of the Muslim faith will begin to understand the Spirit of Adoption. They believe in submission, but an understanding of adoption by a Holy God is not part of their belief system. Pray that Muslims begin to understand the concept of grace. Ask the Holy Spirit for dreams, visions, and revelations of Jesus Christ to overtake this people. Declare that the sword of Islam will be traded for the Sword of the Spirit. Clearly, America has a choice to repent and stand in prayer against the enemy or to go on with business as usual and invite further redemptive judgements. It is our choice. Cindi Jacobs also spoke of America on a precipice and that America had a choice. On Friday, July 27, 2001, Cindy Jacobs gave the following warning that America was on a precipice and judgement was at the gate and there would either be a great revival in this nation or a great depression, 'says the Lord." In the aftermath of September 11th, our financial institutions were shaken and although the stock market has recovered somewhat, the layoffs are continuing. "For the Lord would say, 'I
have brought you here at a pivotal hinge of history, and I would say to
you, My people in the United States do not realize how much the
need mercy. For even this nation stands upon a precipice,' says
the Lord, 'and there is a time that I will either give this nation
wings like eagles or they will plummet. For there is judgment at
the gate that you do not even fully realize. For there is only so
long that I, the God of justice, can wink at injustice. And I would
say, you must fill the cup of justice and empty the injustice.
For this is a season where there is a divine trade going on in
the heavens - justice for injustice. Do not think that I will allow the
economy of this nation to remain as it is if My people do not
understand that there must be liberty for those whom there is no
liberty. The enemy is still at work in America as anthrax continues to be a problem. And then there was the November 11th plane crash in New York which to the investigating authorities is still mystery. Rick Joyner (prophet) of Morningstar ministries wrote on November 19th: " Let me share with you what I
know spiritually about the crash of the American Airlines flight
last Monday. It was not an accident—it was sabotage. Bob Jones
dreamed THE NIGHT BEFORE it happened that someone was servicing the
hydraulics of a plane and put
some kind of explosive liquid in it. He saw them doing this in a
reservoir near the engine,
and then wiped it off so it would not be discovered. He then saw
in this dream something like a piston pushing into a line that With regards to Secretary Powell's comments on Monday, November 19th, I received a flash from Jim Bramlett regarding Dr. Eby. For those who do not know his testimony, Jim Bramlett provides some links in this email. Jim writes: "Dear Friends: This is a FLASH update on Dr. Richard Eby. I am traveling out of state this week, do not have my regular computer, have minimal Internet access, and did not intend any messages such as this. However, this is so HOT I must pass it on immediately. Most of you know of retired medical doctor Dr. Richard Eby. Decades ago he had a clinical death experience when the Lord took him to heaven and showed him marvelous things beyond description. Then the Lord sent Eby back and told him to preach the gospel, and that he would not die before the rapture. At that time, Eby was relatively young man. He is now about age 90, and in rapidly failing health. Because of his experience, many have been watching his health as a signpost for the rapture. It is now revealed that this is what the Lord intended. I am acquainted with two people who know Dr. Eby personally and see him often. It has been reported to me several times that Eby cannot have much longer to live. His heart stopped beating 2-3 times this past July. He is in a wheelchair and cannot care for himself. Lately he has lost mental functioning and has not even recognized his wife. Yesterday Rev. Ron Patterson left a message on my answering service at home and I was able to speak to him last night. Ron has been a close friend of Dr. Eby for many years. In fact, Eby flies Ron from Kentucky to California once a month to preach at his church. Ron reports that he was at Dr. Eby's church this past Saturday and Eby was rolled in, in a wheel chair. He seemed greatly improved mentally, but physically just as bad. Ron reports that it was a greatly anointed service, one of the greatest he has ever seen. After the service, Dr. Eby grabbed Ron by the arm and said he had something important he had to tell him. With great emotion, Dr. Eby
shared that the Lord had visited him again that week, on about Tuesday
or Wednesday, as Ron remembers. That would have made it October
30 or 31. Eby said, "I want to tell you because I know you will believe
me." Eby said that
he revealed several things to him: 2. The Lord said he had not healed him because people all over the world know about his testimony and are watching, and the Lord wanted Eby's condition to clearly reveal to the world how close the rapture is. 3. The Lord told him, "It is too late now for your message. Your testimony is losing its effect. Your battle is all but over. I am ready to come." 4. The Lord ominously told him that things are closing so rapidly that the only message now to the people of the world is "repent or perish." 5. Eby said the Lord further told him, "In three weeks from now, something will happen that will change the course of history for the whole world." No further information on this was given. (Three weeks from October 30-31 would be Thanksgiving week, I believe. Three weeks exactly from October 30 is November 20.) Has America sealed its fate by moving against Israel? Time will tell. Is America above the judgement of God? Let's let Jesus speak to America: "There were present at that season some who told Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answered and said to them, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered such things? "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. "Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and , do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." He also spoke this parable: "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. "Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, 'Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?' "But he answered and said to him, 'Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 'And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.' " (Luke 13:1-9) America, Bless God and repent. Unless there is massive repentance within the church, I do not see how America will survive untouched. We will, of course, eventually have to fall from dominance so the revived roman empire and the seat of the anti-christ can rise. The question is one of timing and that depends on the level of repentance. Even Nineveh was eventually destroyed, but national repentance from the Head on down gave Nineveh another 100 years or so. However, in the midst of chaos and destruction, the glorious church will be refined without spot or blemish and those that truly know their God, who have been refined, will do great exploits for the Lord (Daniel). We will see miracles at a level never seen before as God knows how to preserve his remnant in the midst of destruction. Joel saw "multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision" BEFORE the coming of the terrible Day of the Lord. Revival is coming, but it will be in the midst of unrest and signs in the heavens and on the earth as God will once again shake all things so the desired of the nations shall come. Is there Hope? "If my people [not the unsaved], who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14) Notice that this passage says that it is God's people who must humble themselves and repent before God will relent. This is exactly what happened to Nineveh. Jonah was sent to Nineveh when it was just 40 days from judgment. Then a miracle happened. From the king on down, the entire country humbled themselves and repented. Although judgment had been pronounced and God had even given them a date for their destruction, God relented and Nineveh survived another 100 years before meriting final judgment. Will the church of America repent? And what if judgment does come? Are the sheep ready, physically and spiritually, to be God's instrument to bring hope and healing? Certainly we should not despair or grow depressed. There is Hope in Jesus. Jesus has promised His children, those who have been reborn of the Spirit, that He would never leave them or forsake them. If we have accepted Jesus' free gift of salvation, then no matter what happens in the future, He will be with us. When the storms of life come against us, it will be only be possible for us to stand by His mighty power and presence in our life. God knows how to deliver His people. Noah and his family were protected through Judgment by the Ark of their salvation. During their exodus from Egypt, God fed the children of Israel with manna in the wilderness and provided water out of solid rock. He even parted the Red Sea. Lot and His family were escorted out of the city by Angels before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego walked through the fire unharmed, because God was with them. "I have never seen God's people forsaken, or their children begging for bread." (Psalm 37:25b) Psalms 23 and 91 are beautiful promises of God to preserve and comfort his children. Read them, walk with the Lord, and trust Him to preserve and protect us. God has begun to shake America, but Jesus says: "Do not let your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me" (John 14:1). For the Turtle Rock community, in the middle of the California firestorms of the nineties, these promises became a reality. A wall of fire 200 feet high was heading for their community. Destruction was all around. Many of God's children were in that community. Their home church, when notified of the impending disaster, went into corporate prayer for them. They prayed: "God, your judgments are just, but there are righteous there, like when you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah." They prayed for God to stop the wind. The next day the papers reported: "It was like a miracle, the fire came right up to the edge of the community and then, inexplicably, the winds shifted and the fire took a right-hand turn." After the fire, Turtle Creek looked like an island of safety in a sea of destruction. Yes, God answers the prayers of His children. And yes, God knows how to deliver His children. "I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty."
