WHAT IS HAPPENING IN JERUSALEM?

truth about Jerusalem from this Historical perspective.

HISTORY
OF JERUSALEM
Claims of historic,
religious and legal rights to the city have been asserted by
the various parties to the conflict and, accordingly, these
three aspects should be reviewed:

JERUSALEM IN THE BIBLE More than 700 verses where the
BIBLE
mentions Jerusalem

Following are two articles, the Israeli government and the PA, on Jerusalem. |
The idea that there is an
equally shared importance of
Jerusalem is a common misconception. |
JERUSALEM COVENANT As of this

hundred fifty-two; one thousand nine hundred and twenty-two years after
the destruction of the Second Temple;

| ARMAGEDDON ALERT in
early-February 1991 when
the Gulf
War was underway, I had a mysterious vision of an NBC Special Report about a chemical SCUD missile attack taking place against Haifa, Israel. About a week after this, a friend and I heard an air-raid siren and nuclear explosion upon reading the Seventh Seal prophecy from the Bible's Book of Revelation |
PALESTINIAN VIEWS TOWARD THE LAND "The PLO-ARAB people accepted the Oslo agreements as a first step and not as a permanent settlement, based on the premise that the war and struggle in the land is more efficient than a struggle from a distant land." |
PA HAS FAILED TO
RESPECT SANCTITY OF
HOLY SITES Palestinian Authority (PA) is
obligated to safeguard holy sites and ensure free access to them. |
PA ANTISEMITISM SINCE
THE HEBRON ACCORD Under the terms of the Oslo Accords and the Hebron Protocol, the Palestinian Authority (PA) is obligated to refrain from incitement against Israel and to take measures to prevent others from engaging in it |
KASSAM,
QASSAM,...SO WHAT'S IN A NAME? Now,
when choosing this Arab weapon of terror, Hamas gave careful
thought to the name that it should go by. Since the militant wing of the organization was named after Sheikh Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, it made sense to name the weapon after him as well. |

Germany, the country that killed over 6 million Jews during WWII,
Israel and its eternal capital Jerusalem, were once again dealt a
devastating blow to their very existence,

ARAFAT'S JESUS "Now Jesus, having been born in
Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod..." is how the account of
Jesus' birth begins in the second chapter of the Gospel of Matthew.
Notice, please, the location is Bethlehem of Judea... not the "West Bank"... not "Palestine"... but Judea. |
Listening
to news coming out of the Middle East, it's nearly impossible to hear
reports about terrorist atrocities against Israeli civilians without
also hearing some journalist justifying them in the name of alleged
Arab grievances.

He was simply
carrying a local banner of an age-old Arabism which rejects the rights of any of the millions of non-Arab peoples conquered in its name to a share in what Arabs have declared to be purely Arab patrimony. No partitions or compromises either. |
| THE MOSLEM CLAIM TO
JERUSALEM IS FALSE! The Moslem "claim" to Jerusalem
is
based on what is written in the Koran, which although Jerusalem
is not mentioned even once, nevertheless talks (in Sura 17:1) of the
"Furthest Mosque"

SOME QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONFLICT IN THE
MIDDLE-EAST |
A BIBLICAL HISTORY OF
JERUSALEM References to the city of
Jerusalem appear
throughout the entire Hebrew and Messianic Scriptures. Through
the ages it has been called by many names: Salem, Mount Moriah, Adonai
Urah, Jebus, Jerusalem, Zion, the City of David,
and Ariel (Lion of God). God has declared that this is the place
He will establish His Name and will dwell there forever (1 Kings
9:3).
|
CLAIMS TO JERUSALEM The purpose of this article is not to prove or disprove anyone's claim to Jerusalem, but rather to help clear up some of the fog clouding this controversy and enable us to better understand both the Jewish and Moslem connection to this holy site. |
Those of
us concerned about the long-term future of Israel and who wish for
peace for all peoples--Jews included--had worried all along that the
roadmap would simply become a resurrected Oslo II. In that discredited
process, the more Israel conceded, the more it bled.

A CRASH
COURSE ON THE MIDDLE EAST The U.N. has been totally silent on the Palestinian history of suicide bombings, lynchings, terrorist attacks, bus hijackings, cafe bombings, etc.In 1948, approximately 630,000 Arab refugees were encouraged to leave Israel by Arab leaders promising to purge the land of Jews. Sixty-eight percent left without ever seeing an Israeli soldier. |
JERUSALEM
THROUGH THE AGES
Following are excerpts from several books and newspaper articles dating from 333 through the 1800's that deal with Jerusalem, Palestine, its inhabitants and the condition of the land. This will give you, the reader, a glimpse into a viewpoint held down through the ages of Jerusalem. |
ON PALESTINIAN
TERRORISM AS SACRIFICIAL BEHAVIOR To understand the steadily widening Palestinian war against Israel, it is first necessary to understand the Palestinian concept of sacrifice. This idea plays a very substantial role in Palestinian policies in the much publicized war. And Palestinian terrorism is the optimal way in which sacrifice is expressed. |
Jerusalem, the Holy City, the City of the Great King, God's Holy Hill of Zion, the Center of the Earth, the Cup of Trembling, the Burdensome Stone, Sodom and Gomorrah, and Egypt. Jerusalem is called by these and many other names in the Bible. |
JERUSALEM! JERUSALEM! Jerusalem is indisputably, year after year, the top news story in the world. That fact reflects the fulfillment of multiple prophecies concerning this remarkable city and its unique place in Gods will. The ongoing actualization of these prophecies in our day is absolute proof that God exists, that the Bible is His Word and that the Jews are His chosen people. |
